I’ve just upgraded my old Thinkpad with a superfast new OCZ Agility 3 SSD and the speed difference is amazing. Installation was quick and easy. I simply removed the old drive, fitted the new SSD to the existing hdd caddy and then reinstalled Windows 7 Professional using the Lenovo recovery DVD’s.
Once Windows was installed I ran Crystal mark to get some idea of the new speed. The results are below.
Wow, 200MB/s is very nice. So how does the new SSD feel in general usage ?
It’s snappy, Windows boots almost instantly, runs faster than I’ve ever seen before and programs load within a second or two.
